Eligibility
To be eligible for an Internship through Inclusion Scotland, you must meet both of the following criteria:

1. Identify as disabled under the Equality Act 2010. Disability is defined as a physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and long-term negative effect on your ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities. This may include (but is not limited to):
  • A physical impairment
  • A sensory impairment such as visual or hearing loss
  • A mental health condition such as anxiety or depression
  • A learning difficulty such as dyslexia or dyspraxia
  • A learning disability
  • A diagnosis of HIV, cancer, multiple sclerosis, or another long-term condition
  • Any other disability or impairment
2. Be unemployed or underemployed. This means you are either not currently in paid work, or you are working fewer hours or at a lower level than you would like, and are seeking opportunities to develop your skills and progress in your career.

Inclusion Scotland

Our application form is divided into two parts:
  • Part 1 collects your personal details, your current employment status, and any information about impairments or health conditions.
  • Part 2 focuses only on your skills, experience, and motivation for the internship.
Only Part 2 of your application is shared with the internship host for shortlisting purposes - they will not see your name, contact information, or other personal details. However, the panel will be informed of any reasonable adjustments you have requested so they can support you during the application or interview process.
