Eligibility
To be eligible for an Internship through Inclusion Scotland, you must meet both of the following criteria:
1. Identify as disabled under the Equality Act 2010. Disability is defined as a physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and long-term negative effect on your ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities. This may include (but is not limited to):
- A physical impairment
- A sensory impairment such as visual or hearing loss
- A mental health condition such as anxiety or depression
- A learning difficulty such as dyslexia or dyspraxia
- A learning disability
- A diagnosis of HIV, cancer, multiple sclerosis, or another long-term condition
- Any other disability or impairment
2. Be unemployed or underemployed. This means you are either not currently in paid work, or you are working fewer hours or at a lower level than you would like, and are seeking opportunities to develop your skills and progress in your career.
